This year, Haggerston School presents Zephaniah’s ‘Refugee Boy’ adapted for the stage by Lemn Sissay. ‘Refugee Boy’ tells the story of Alem and his family who are persecuted because his mother is from Eritrea and his father is from Ethiopia at a time of civil war between these countries. Alem’s father decides to bring him to England for safety and a brighter future. A cast of 30 year 7, 8, 9 and 10 students bring this powerful and topical play to the stage in the South Studio on the 6th, 7th and 8th December at 7pm.
Tickets are now on sale for £3 in the atrium every lunch time.
No late admittance.
