Welcome to Haggerston

Haggerston School is a high achieving, thriving school which prides itself on academic rigour and high expectations for every child. Fostering students’ creativity and character is at the core of our school culture with a strong emphasis on Arts education and sport alongside a broad, academic curriculum.

Our examination results are excellent but our students leave with more than a set of qualifications; we teach students to become articulate, strong and confident individuals.  We teach them to value knowledge and education and to understand how to use it to better themselves, their community and society as a whole.

I hope that our website will give you a flavour of the rich opportunities available to students at Haggerston School.  We respect the diversity of all our students and understand that by nurturing their individual talents and abilities, we can enable every child to realise their potential.

I am very privileged to be the Headteacher of Haggerston School.   I hope you will visit the school to see our dedicated students in action, meet our talented staff and find out more about what we have to offer.

A major refurbishment of the school buildings followed, which was completed in 2012 and included the remodeling of the main teaching block.
