We are now accepting applications to join us in September 2017.

The deadline for applications to guarantee an interview is Thursday 8th December 2016. The second opportunity to submit an application if predicted grades change after mock exams is Thursday 23rd February 2017.

Haggerston Sixth Form offers a broad range of exciting and fulfilling enrichment activities.  These offer students experiences which will help them develop in non-academic areas and help prepare them for post 18 progression, careers and higher education.

Admissions Criteria

Haggerston Sixth Form offers admissions personalised to your educational background.

To study A levels students are required to have 6 or more GCSEs at A*-C/ (grade 5 if English or maths) or above, a minimum of a grade 4 in English and at least 2 B/6 grades.  Students will also be required to have at least B/6 grades at GCSE for subjects chosen at A level.

To study a BTEC level 3 course students are required to have:

  • 4 GCSEs at grade A*-C/5 with at least a grade 3 in English or;
  • A merit or distinction in an applied level 2 course with at least a grade 3 in English, or;
  • A pass in an applied level 2 course with at least a grade 4 in English.

If students do not achieve a GCSE grade 4 in English and/or maths, they will be required to resit in the sixth form (please note that all A Level programmes of study require at least a grade 5 in English).
