WORLD BOOK WEEK HIGHLIGHTS 2023
Rules were relaxed, and conversations were allowed in the Library as we celebrated World Book Week promoting reading for pleasure!
A flock of colourful balloons signalled the arrival of World Book Week to Haggerston School Library. There were a number of fun competitions and bookish activities organised along with attractive displays.

The week’s biggest hit was the Find-the-Line Challenge where students had to find sixteen posters with first lines of their favourite novels on them which were hidden around the school. Students also entered a book-cover competition, designing artwork for well-known or imaginary titles. Emoji Book Quiz was a huge hit during the Library lessons where students competed by decoding titles of popular books from strings of emojis.
